Digidesign is proud to announce version 2.0 of the Massenburg DesignWorks® Hi-Res Parametric EQ, developed by the creator of the parametric EQ, George Massenburg. This new version of the acclaimed MDW® Hi-Res Parametric EQ plug-in for Digidesign® Pro Tools|HD® systems delivers the same reference standard sound as the original while offering a new user interface, five- and three-band versions, improved DSP efficiency, and significant workflow enhancements.

Enhanced User Interface
View the frequency grid in 6, 12, or 24 dB resolution. Copy and paste band settings. Completely redesigned page tables for ICON D-Control™ worksurfaces and other Digidesign control surfaces organize bands in ergonomic groups on the channel strips.

Three- and Five-Band Versions
With both three- and five-band versions of the plug-in, you can select the three-band version to conserve DSP resources when only three bands are needed.

Improved DSP Efficiency
MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ 2.0 has been optimized so you can instantiate more copies of the plug-in in each session. The three-band version can be instantiated nine times per DSP chip at 48 and 96 kHz on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems. The five-band version can be instantiated five times per DSP chip at 48 and 96 kHz on Pro Tools|HD Accel systems.

IsoPeak™ Functionality
IsoPeak lets you quickly isolate and sweep through the frequency spectrum to find the targeted frequency, with just a click of the band button. Set your own IsoPeak presets for quick recall.

A/B Snapshots
Toggle between two separate EQ settings and copy one snapshot setting to the other.

Phase Invert
Invert the phase of a track. For example, use Phase Invert to match the phase of a snare track with overhead or room tracks.

Upgrade Information
Owners of MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ version 1.x can upgrade to 2.0 for $125 through the online DigiStore. Customers who purchased MDW Hi-Res Parametric EQ 1.x after January 1, 2006, are eligible for a free upgrade.
